So while we were working on the new portal, DViCo released yet another update for the TViX M-6×00 series with 2 major changes. Certainly by now some skeptic users must admit, DviCo is back doing the best they can and not just concentrate on the new model. Releases are flying in regularly and that’s exactly how we like it. Following is the message from DviCo: “We are pre releasing a new firmware with 2 big changes(UTF8 support and file player and DTV program integration) and a few bug fixes.”

Player
- When a user sets OSD language in SET UP menu, the pop-up menu for default subtitle encoding selection is displayed automatically..
- Users need to change encoding type according to the subtitle that they want..Let’s say a user set to English for the OSD language and set Hebrew for the subtitle encoding. When this user tries to load French subtitle, it will not
shown correctly since it is saved with different encoding. In this case, this user need to change encoding to Latin-I by pressing Subtitle key and select the encoding button on the popup and select Latin-I.

- AAC audio track on TP/TS files is now audible.
- Fixed : a subtitle track is not shown on a specific TS stream
- Fixed : a system turn off while trying to change subtitle sync by pressing CH up or down key.
- Fixed : keep showing unsupported font message after boot.
- Fixed : an apostrophe is not shown correctly on French OSD.

DTV
- Fixed the scanning issue.
- Fixed : Info OSD is disappear too quickly.
- Fixed : System is unstable if a user press audio key while recording.
- Fixed : Channel name is shown strangely on VFD.
- Now, the power button will turn off the system rather than showing file play mode..

 فتم اصدار تحديث غير تجريبي يحمل الاصدار : Xtreamer Update 1.0.3 beta2

الاصلاحات والتغييرات :

Xtreamer has announced it will release another update today in beta. The change list of new features (6), improvements (6) and bug fixes (9) is long nad but not yet is including the improvements for streaming which are announced for the middle of October based on the 2.0 firmware including Realtek’s new SDK. If the beta testing does not reveal any major problems, according to our last chat session with Xtreamer, the final release should happen within a week from now. When the release will be made available exactly is unknown however Xtreamer confirmed this will happen today somewhere at the Xtreamer forum and we have a change list for you.

 

Xtreamer 1.0.3 beta2 Release notes(from ver 1.0.2)

New features:
1. Folder lock(Setup->System->Lock Control)
- Folder access control using password.
- Default password: 0000
2. NAS mode(Setup->System->Power Mode)
- Power Off: if press “Power” button, always power off
- NAS Mode: if press “power” button, go to NAS mode.
- Confirm Window: if press “power” button, appear pop up window for selection.
3. Cover.jpg/Folder.jpg support.
- If exist Cover.jpg/Foler.jpg inside folder, it will show that image in preview area when folder is selected.
- If there is no image with selected music file and cover.jpg/foler.jpg exist inside same folder, it will show that image in music jukebox area.
4. Subtitle font/outline color support.
- Basic color selection(White, Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, Magenta, Aqua, Purple, Gray, Black)
- Advance color selection(Manual select RGB 24 bits color support)
5. Time skip support during movie playback using navigation button.
- up: +3 minutes, down: -1minute, left: -10 seconds, +30 seconds
6. Display HDD/USB/NAS/UPnP/Wired/Wired status in Home menu.

Improvements:
7. NFS mount is possible if there is no HDD (internal or external) or USB drive.
- If there is no HDD, auto change from “HDD” to “NFS shortcut” in Media Library menu.
- NFS mount option with USB drive/USB HDD removed.
8. Change index number in file browser.
- Upper folder index is 0. File or folder starts from index 1.
9. UPnP Server boost function replaced with NAS Mode and can be executed from web.
10. FTP server start/stop timing reduced and better access support
11. Korean channels added in Internet menu.
12. Remove My_Neighbours in NET item list.

Bug fix:
13. NFS share unmount/delete bug fixed
14. NFS handshake delay bug fixed.
15. Latin character incorrect display fixed.
16. System crash while entering USB device in file manager.
17. NFS share unmount bug fixed
18. NFS handshake delay bug fixed
19. Backup/Restore/Reset functions support also for NFS and Live IP now.
20. Samba free disk space display bug fixed.
- It can show total free disk space of all device(internal/external HDD).
- Each device free disk space can’t support.
- Total size not supported yet.
21. Real audio(.ra) file removed from video category.
